WHO is
Leandro Legarda Leviste?
Leandro Legarda Leviste aspires to see the First District progress, just like the other districts of Batangas. A district where every sector of society is given due attention, and where every citizen receives the highest quality of public service.
In the 2025 elections, Batangueños gave their resounding trust to this shared aspiration. At just 32 years old, Leviste won a historic landslide as Representative of the 1st District of Batangas, garnering 268,764 votes—or 75% of the total. This is the largest margin against a sitting Congressman nationwide and the highest congressional vote count in Batangas history.
Leviste’s victory not only set records—it also marked the end of an era. He successfully ended the 30-year reign of the Ermita clan, whose family had long held the position in the 1st District. Leviste won in all eight municipalities and cities that make up the district: Balayan, Calaca, Calatagan, Lemery, Lian, Nasugbu, Taal, and Tuy, delivering a clear and unified mandate for change.
Under the banner “Paunlarin Natin ang Unang Distrito,” Leviste called for stronger national support for the development of Western Batangas—through better education, modern infrastructure, and real job creation.
Before entering public service, Leviste was already a trailblazer. He is the country’s youngest billionaire entrepreneur, known for founding Solar Philippines. In 2024, after selling a controlling stake to Meralco for P34 billion, he chose to dedicate himself to serving the people.
A son of Senator Loren Legarda, Leandro brings with him a heritage of principled leadership and public duty—now matched with fresh energy, bold ideas, and a clear mission to transform the 1st District into the most developed and progressive in the province of Batangas.
